Book Description on Amazon.com

Food is one of the most important necessities of life. Therefore this 356 page book is 100% about food.

The information in this book is timeless. Some of the information in this book has been known for thousands of years. Unfortunately very few people today clearly understand the basic concepts that their ancestors knew and used to ensure their long-term survival. Therefore it is my opinion that many people in the not too distant future will perish because they will not know the following life-sustaining information:
  1. All the different ways to procure food, including the advantages and disadvantages of fresh food, frozen food, canned food, freeze dried food, dehydrated food, and Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs).
  2. All the different ways to safely process food for human consumption, including how to correctly process the most commonly available edible wild plants and wild game animals.
  3. All the different ways to preserve food, including which preservation methods help to retain the maximum amount of flavor and nutrition of each specific type of food.
This book contains detailed information on all the above topics.

The author of this book has more than 50 years of experience using the skills discussed in this book. He has written more than 20 books, including 2 cookbooks and 3 survival manuals. He has conducted a variety of shelf life tests on different ways to store food and vegetable seeds, and the results of his experiments are included in this book.
