Introduction
Being able to clearly and correctly understand something can be very beneficial in helping us make good decisions.
However, most things are too complex for us to be able to clearly understand all the details that make it happen.
For example, yeast makes bread dough rise. Although there are a lot of microscopic chemical reactions taking place simultaneously during the rising process, a person does not need to understand all of those complex chemical equations in order to be able to successfully create a delicious loaf of bread.
Discussion
In February of the year 2024 the economic and social systems in every nation of the world are in the worst shape that they have been in since I was born in the year 1949. A person does not need a Ph.D. in economics or a Ph.D. in sociology to be aware of this.
The social and economic problems that are currently devastating many parts of the world will soon become so significant that an avalanche of destruction is going to occur.
Very few people will be surprised when it happens because they have been expecting it to happen for a very long time. But most people will be surprised by the overwhelming impact that it will have on their lives.
Is there anything that we can do to prevent it from happening? On a human level the answer is no. On a spiritual level the answer is yes.
God is still in 100% total control of everything. He always has been. And He always will be.
Each one of us needs to pray with all our heart and with all of our faith that God's Holy Perfect Will shall be done.
On the night before Jesus was crucified he was on the Mount of Olives and He prayed, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42, NIV)
What we do not need to do is to ask God to help us better understand why He is allowing these bad things to happen.
The Creator of the entire universe understands everything with a clarity that we will never, never, never be able to understand.
And God does not need our advice on what we believe our world leaders should be doing to prevent these problems from becoming worse.
Instead God desires for us to love Him and to trust Him to take care of our families in the months and years ahead. However, that does not mean that we should do nothing. Each one of us should use good common sense and God's guidance to prepare for a future that is going to be radically different from anything that we have known or experienced in the past.
The upcoming months and years are going to be some of the most challenging times that people all over the world will experience during their entire life.
Therefore each one of us should be receptive to the direction that God is gently moving us towards.
God absolutely does not want us to commit acts of aggression or acts of violence against any person, religion, race, or government. If God wants to discipline someone then God has the power and the wisdom to do so. We simply need to trust God and we need to prepare for the future in the way that God guides us.
Conclusion
Only God knows how the future will unfold.
Wouldn't it make good sense to stop right now and pray and ask God to guide you and to reveal to you what you should do today, this week, and this month in order to prepare so that your family can survive whatever may happen in the months and years ahead?
