Introduction
Is it possible to learn something of value from a frog and from a forest fire?
Continue reading if you wish to find out.
Let's begin by looking at the frog and the frying pan. Then we will look at the forest fire.
The Frog and the Frying Pan
Most people have heard the frog story that goes something like this:
- If you put a live frog in a pan of extremely hot water then the frog will immediately jump out of the pan.
- But if you put the same frog in a pan of cool water and then very, very gradually increase the heat, then the frog will not notice the gradual increase in heat and the frog will gradually lose consciousness, and the frog will die in the boiling water.
The purpose of increasing the heat slowly was to kill the frog and the purpose was not to cook the frog because the contents of the frog's stomach, bladder, and intestines would have been cooked into the meat and therefore none of the frog could have been eaten.
If we want to learn something of practical value from the above story then we need to begin by identifying the three major elements in the above story:
- The person who controls the heat.
- The water.
- The frog.
Let's assume the following:
- The person who controls the heat is the government and a few very, very rich families. The government consists of a lot of different people, one or more political parties, and lots and lots of government agencies.
- The water is the economy. The economy consists of businesses, banks, and the flow of resources and money.
- The frog is us. We the people are the frog.
Over a period of many years the government of the USA has been making decisions that have been adversely impacting the economy of the USA. They have been transferring manufacturing facilities offshore, and they have passed laws to reduce the amount of coal, oil, and natural gas that is produced inside the USA. And the excessive amount of money they have created out of nothing is causing runaway inflation and this is systematically reducing the purchasing power of the USA dollar. Recently the government has been restricting the flow of fertilizer to farms and this will reduce the amount of food that is available this fall. In your opinion, what impact do you think these policies are going to have on the citizens of the USA?
I know I am just one of the frogs. And I can see what all the other frogs see: prices are increasing almost every week on food, gas, and everything else. Prices used to increase less than 10% per year. Now prices are increasing on some things by 10% or more every month. Law enforcement is being criticized and defunded. Criminals are not being prosecuted. The government wants to nullify our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. The government wants to take away our guns and put us at the mercy of criminals, gangs, cartels, and the government. But the government has assured us this is for our benefit and for the benefit of our children. The government has passed laws to destroy the Biblical concept of marriage between one man and one woman and the government has legalized moral behavior that resulted in God destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. (Whoops. I forgot that this should no longer be mentioned. Please forgive me.)
The heat inside the frying pan has been increasing steadily and continuously, However, I have made the personal decision that I do not wish to remain inside the frying pan and die.
A Forest Fire
One tiny match can start a small fire. The purpose of the fire could be to cook a meal, or to provide a little heat during cold weather.
But a spark from the little fire may float over into some dry brush or dry grass and start another fire. And before the new fire is noticed it may begin to spread and ignite a few small dry bushes and a few small trees. When that happens the fire will be too big to extinguish (unless there is a water hose available and the water is on). A gentle wind will spread the fire quickly and before long some bigger trees will start burning. Before the fire has burned itself out millions and millions of acres of forest (and homes) may be destroyed. And all of this destruction will have been caused by one tiny match.
At the current time in the USA many people are fed up with the way decisions are being made to destroy them. Whether these decisions are intentional or if the decisions are the result of incompetence doesn't matter because the impact is the same regardless of why the decisions were made.
Most people resent the decisions that are being made to ignore the crimes committed by the government, and by rich people, and by criminals. And they resent the decisions that are being made to punish honest people who are simply trying to defend themselves from criminals. They do not believe that men should be allowed in a woman's restroom, especially in a place where the woman could be easily raped or murdered. They do not believe that part of their wages should be taken away from them and given to people who are able to work but who refuse to work. There are people in law enforcement who do not wish to get punished for trying to defend themselves from someone who is trying to kill them.
In the USA it would only take one or two very small fires in the right place to ignite a meltdown of the entire country. People everywhere, of all races and all national origins, are fed up with what the government is doing, and they will not need much of an excuse to begin rioting and looting. When it begins the law enforcement personnel nationwide will immediately return to their own homes to protect their own families. There will be widespread looting, arson, rape, and murder. The sidewalks, streets, and roads will be littered with dead bodies and those dead bodies will remain where they fell for weeks (or months) until the dogs and birds have picked their bones clean (or their flesh has rotted).
The above may never happen.
However, in my opinion the fuse that leads to the powder keg has already been lit and it may not be long before the entire USA meltsdown.
Conclusion
Although I am just a frog, I can see that the heat if being increased and that my family will perish unless I take some type of action to keep us alive. If I just passively watch with all the other frogs as the heat continues to be increased then I will suffer the same fate as all the other frogs.
The kindling is dry and the kindling is ready to be lit inside every big city in the USA. Massive rioting will only have to start in one or two cities in the USA and the people in every other city in the USA who are fed up with their government will also begin to riot. This will be like a small fire in the woods that gets quickly out of control and it destroys millions and millions of acres of forests (and homes) until there is nothing left to burn and the fire runs out of fuel and the fire goes out by itself. Anyone who thinks they can stop the fire will be burned up in the fire. Therefore, please do not try to stop the rioters yourself. Instead, if possible please remain inside until most of the rioters have killed one another for whatever reason they believe is reasonable.
A forest that is burned to the ground takes decades to recover and the USA will not be any different. When the rioting is over the USA will not be able to recover for decades.
If the above happens then the survival of your family will depend on what you own when the meltdown begins. Nobody can have enough water or food or bullets to last a lifetime. Everyone who survives will need to be able to replenish their drinking water, and they will need to know how to grow food, and they will need to know how to trap and hunt wild animals. If a family does not have this type of knowledge then the chance that family will survive will be very slim. Your ancestors were able to survive and prosper because they knew these things. You could follow in the footsteps of your ancestors if you tried, and if you would allow God to guide and assist you.
May God Bless,
Grandpappy.
